The ENHANCE Winter School in Data Literacy, hosted by the Warsaw University of Technology (WUT) in early December 2024, was an outstanding success. This innovative event brought together participants from multiple ENHANCE partner universities, offering a unique opportunity to explore data literacy within the context of healthcare challenges.
The programme combined online and in-person learning, enabling participants to tackle complex datasets and develop solutions in multidisciplinary teams. Hands-on activities, including demonstrations using Martian drones, added an exciting technological dimension to the experience.

Supported by NAWA’s “Solidarity with Ukraine” initiative, the Winter School welcomed Ukrainian students, further enriching its diverse and inclusive environment. This reflects the ENHANCE Alliance’s commitment to fostering cross-border academic cooperation and inclusivity. The event culminated in dynamic project presentations, where students showcased innovative solutions inspired by their newly acquired skills. Feedback from participants was overwhelmingly positive, with many praising the collaborative spirit, expert guidance, and practical relevance of the sessions.
This Winter School exemplifies the ENHANCE Alliance’s mission to empower students with the skills to address societal challenges while strengthening partnerships across Europe. By connecting universities and promoting shared expertise, ENHANCE continues to make a significant impact on education and research.
