ENHANCE STEM Ambassadors Programme

The ENHANCE STEM Ambassadors Programme empowers
motivated female Bachelor and Master students from ENHANCE universities to become visible role models for high school girls
— especially those from underrepresented backgrounds.

As ambassadors, students share their personal journeys in STEM, engage in inspirational storytelling, and connect with younger learners through international events and outreach activities through communication channels of ENHANCE.

The programme is a unique opportunity for female STEM students at our universities to represent your university, inspire future STEM generation, and gain valuable skills in public speaking, mentoring, and inclusive communication.

The active STEM ambassadors will be invited to the annual community meeting (in 2026, probably in Warsaw during Women in Tech Summit in June) and to large scale events (e.g. Women and Girls in STEM Forum in October 2025). You will find more information below.

📣 Call for Applications: ENHANCE STEM Ambassadors Programme

Join the programme now

Deadline: Friday, 5 September 2025

Are you a Bachelor or Master student passionate about STEM and eager to inspire the next generation of women and girls in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM)? Do you want to represent your university and the ENHANCE Alliance on an international stage?

Join the ENHANCE STEM Ambassadors Programme — an inspiring, impact-oriented initiative in our alliance. We are looking for motivated female university students from ENHANCE universities to serve as relatable role models for high school girls from underrepresented backgrounds. As a STEM Ambassador, you will share your personal journey, engage in outreach and informal mentoring, and take part in an international STEM event that ENHANCE is co-organising.

🎤 What will you do as an ambassador?

  • Share your STEM journey through ENHANCE communication channels (e.g. Instagram or occasionally local events at your university, in your region)
  • Create short videos explaining why you decided to study STEM or a short video sharing some insights about your daily campus life at the university. These videos will be published on our social media channels
  • Join a local university event such as “Girls Day” or “Study Info Day” to meet female high school students and share your experiences as a STEM student
  • Potentially, you can also consult interested high school female students in informal (online) meetings
  • For all these activities, you will be supported by the ENHANCE team to find your way. Participate in large scale events we are collaborating with. For example, the next event is the Women and Girls in STEM Forum
  • You can share your experiences there (e.g. Women and Girls in STEM Forum in October 2025 Brussels)
  • Bring in your own ideas and feel empowered to co-design new formats with us

🌍 Your first possible mission: Women and Girls in STEM Forum
📍 Brussels | 16 October 2025

Selected ambassadors will participate in the Women and Girls in STEM Forum in Brussels, a pan-European event gathering finalists of the Girls Go Circular STEM competition. You’ll meet high school students from across Europe, share your journey during live sessions, and potentially start informal mentoring relationships after the event. For more information about the forum, please click here

The idea is to organise a training session one day before the event. Details to be clarified later.  The onboarding training will offer you a safe space to get to know each other and to learn some new skills such as storytelling and how to present yourself as a STEM Ambassador. These skills will help you to get involved in the programme.

Travel and accommodation for the Women and Girls in STEM Forum will be fully covered by ENHANCE*. Arrival on 15 October (Getting Know and Trainings Day), departure on 17 October.

*The scholarship is only available for students who are enrolled in one of the ENHANCE universities during the event dates (excl. ETH Zurich).
