Innovate your Teaching with the ENHANCE TESTBED SEED FUND
Do you have a bold idea to innovate education? Are you passionate about digital learning, inclusivity, or immersive teaching formats? Then don’t miss your chance to join the ENHANCE Testbed Competition 2025 – a unique opportunity to design, test, and implement transformative learning concepts with peers from across Europe! 🌍🎓
This 1st edition of the ENHANCE Testbed Seed Fund supports projects that co-create new didactic formats, address student needs, and modernize higher education through international collaboration.
🌍 Shaping the “New Normal” of Higher Education
This initiative is part of ENHANCE’s broader mission to foster innovative, inclusive, and future-ready teaching and learning across Europe. By empowering educators and learners to co-design experimental formats, the Testbed Competition contributes to building the “New Normal” of higher education — one that is collaborative, digital, equitable, and resilient. It reflects our commitment to transforming European universities into living labs for educational progress, ready to respond to global challenges and societal needs.
🎯 What’s the Goal?
The competition aims to:
- Modernise teaching formats and foster innovation
- Activate student co-teaching and collaboration
- Promote inclusivity and diversity in education
- Enable the exchange of best teaching practices
💡 What Kind of Ideas?
You can propose:
- 🧩 Service-based learning or co-created formats involving students and staff
- 🧠 Hackathons with unique formats and scope
- 💻 Digital twin-based training or Evolutive Learning Factories
- 🧍♀️ Solutions for students facing educational barriers
- 📲 Tech-driven pedagogy for future learners
All projects must involve learners from at least 3 ENHANCE universities.
💶 What’s Funded?
Each winning Testbed Project can receive up to €8,400 to cover:
- Salaries and employee-related costs
- Software licenses and other direct costs
🚫 Equipment purchases and indirect costs are not eligible.
The total budget for this edition is €84,000, distributed among top-ranked projects.
📊 Evaluation Criteria
Your project will be assessed based on:
- Quality and originality of the learning concept
- Cross-university collaboration (min. 2 ENHANCE partners)
- Inclusion of students and/or doctoral candidates
- Feasibility within an 18-month timeline
- Budget justification and sustainability
- Awareness of diversity and accessibility
