The ENHANCE Cross-Border Mentoring Programme supports early-stage researchers in STEM disciplines through international, goal-oriented mentoring. By fostering professional development, intercultural exchange, and cross-border collaboration, the programme strengthens research communities across the ENHANCE Alliance.
How the Programme Works
Cross-Border Mentoring: Researchers from different ENHANCE universities are paired for structured, goal-oriented mentoring.
Duration: Half-year cycle, with monthly one-hour mentor–mentee meetings (online).
Tailored Support: Each mentee completes an Extended DISC® behavioural assessment, reviewed with a certified consultant. This process provides personalised insights for both mentee and mentor, strengthening communication, collaboration, and self-awareness.
Resources: Access to ENHANCE training opportunities, networking events, and international community-building.
Strengthening ENHANCE’s International Community
The Cross-Border Mentoring Programme is a key component of ENHANCE’s mission to internationalise our entire academic community. By connecting early-stage researchers with mentors across institutions and countries, the programme promotes intercultural dialogue, collaborative learning, and professional mobility within the ENHANCE Alliance. It complements initiatives for students, researchers, and staff by fostering a shared international network, encouraging cross-institutional engagement, and reinforcing the Alliance’s commitment to developing globally minded, highly skilled researchers and academics. In this way, the programme not only supports individual career development but also contributes to a vibrant, interconnected, and truly European research community.
