This year’s CESAER Annual Meetings (CAM 2025) in Brno highlighted something we know well: ENHANCE is strong because our member universities are strong. The visibility and impact of ENHANCE at CAM 2025 was not an achievement of the alliance as an institution, but of the remarkable individuals representing their universities – sharing expertise, leading discussions, and shaping the European higher education landscape.
Members Driving High-Level STEM and Higher Education Conversations
During the high-level conference “Shaping the Future of Higher Education in Science and Technology,” ENHANCE members contributed their knowledge and insights:
María Alfonso Molina (Universitat Politècnica de València / University of Valencia) delivered a keynote addressing the long-term decline in STEM performance across Europe. She emphasized the importance of belonging, motivation, and foundational reasoning skills, linking research insights directly to teaching and learning practices.
Martyna Maria Czudec (Gdańsk University of Technology), an emerging early-career researcher, spoke on the future of STEM pedagogy, offering fresh perspectives on student engagement and evidence-based approaches.
Their presentations demonstrated the depth and diversity of expertise across our member universities, reinforcing ENHANCE’s collective mission through individual excellence.
