The Strategic Role of Universities of Technology
Boosting European Competitiveness

On 2 December 2025, our ENHANCE member Warsaw University of Technology will host the next edition of ENHANCE Conversations, part of the ENHANCE Summit – the Alliance’s flagship forum for dialogue between academia, industry, policy and society.
This year’s topic, “Boosting European Competitiveness: The Strategic Role of Universities of Technology,” will explore how European Universities of Technology, and especially cross-border alliances, can act as strategic drivers of Europe’s competitiveness and technological sovereignty.
The panel will address how alliances can:
- 🧭 Position Europe as a global leader by strengthening autonomy in critical technologies.
- 🚀 Accelerate pathways from advanced education to impactful employment and innovation.
- 🌍 Ensure Europe’s long-term competitiveness through deeper collaboration and innovation ecosystems.
Bringing together diverse perspectives from academia, industry, and policy, the discussion will highlight how alliances with a technological focus can translate knowledge into long-term impact for Europe’s economy and society.
