The ENHANCE Certificate in Higher Education Teaching (CHET) portfolio is expanded with a new online course: Computational Co-Creation for Societal Challenges. The course contributes to all three CHET competency categories, Blue (Student Skills), Green (Advanced Pedagogical Development), and Yellow (Innovative Teaching Methods), with the option to allocate credits flexibly across categories. This supports progression toward the full CHET Certificate by enabling participants to "collect" all CHET colours.

Focus and approach
Higher education is increasingly oriented toward preparing graduates to address complex societal challenges such as digital transformation, sustainability, public health, social inclusion, and demographic change. The course introduces Computational Co-Creation, an educational approach that integrates co-creation, participatory design, challenge-based learning, and computational social science. Participants explore how to design interdisciplinary learning experiences that enable students to investigate societal challenges and develop responsible, evidence-informed solutions.
Through collaborative workshops, authentic case studies, and peer feedback activities, participants co-develop teaching modules and learning activities that can be adapted and implemented in their own educational contexts.

By the end of the course, participants will be able to:
Explain the educational value of integrating technical and social science perspectives.
Design interdisciplinary learning experiences based on Computational Co-Creation principles.
Apply co-creation, participatory design, and Challenge-Based Learning methods.
