ENHANCE Conversations 2022: Diversity and Inclusion via Artificial Intelligence?
On 24 November 2022, the ENHANCE Alliance successfully hosted the second edition of ENHANCE Conversations at RWTH Aachen University, under the title “Diversity, Inclusion and Gender Equality via Artificial Intelligence (AI)”.
Held in a hybrid format, the event welcomed participants both on site and online via the ENHANCE Alliance YouTube channel. It brought together policymakers, researchers, entrepreneurs, university leaders, and engaged citizens from across Europe and beyond to reflect on the societal implications of artificial intelligence.
The programme featured two expert panels. The first explored the complex relationship between AI, diversity, and inclusion, highlighting both risks and opportunities. The second focused on the role of universities of technology and the ENHANCE Alliance in shaping responsible, inclusive AI research and education.
The event fostered a lively and critical exchange on how AI can be developed and applied in ways that actively support gender equality and inclusive societies.
