At ENHANCE, we are committed to strengthening human capital across its member universities, enhancing the ability to attract, retain, and develop top talents in the face of global competition, societal change, and evolving research challenges. Building on frameworks such as the European Charter for Researchers and the Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers (C&C), and guided by the Human Resources Strategy for Researchers (HRS4R), the Alliance works to promote better employment conditions, career development, and open, transparent, and merit-based recruitment practices.
Throughout a number of projects and initiatives, member universities have mapped existing researcher career development practices, exchanged best practices, and developed tools and recommendations to support joint frameworks for recruitment, mobility, and professional growth. Activities focus on fostering researcher mobility, improving working conditions, and creating transparent career pathways, making universities more attractive to researchers while strengthening the connection between science, innovation, and society. These efforts contribute to a dynamic environment for research and innovation, enhancing the creation of knowledge, entrepreneurial activity, and sustainable development across the Alliance.
