ENHANCE is launching its second joint Call for Blended Intensive Programmes (BIPs), building on the success of the first alliance-wide call in early 2026. Following that successful premiere, the Alliance is once again coordinating the call across all partner universities, reflecting ENHANCE's shared commitment to making the design and delivery of joint learning opportunities simpler and more effective.
Coordinating the call at alliance level allows academic staff to prepare and run their programmes more smoothly, while giving learners a consistent set of application and mobility frames to rely on throughout the academic year. More simple, more effective.
The call invites academic staff to develop programmes that foster interdisciplinary and challenge-driven learning, contributing to ENHANCE's vision of a European Education Without Barriers and its mission to drive societal transformation through education.
What is a Blended Intensive Programme?
Blended Intensive Programmes offer a flexible and collaborative format that combines a virtual learning component with a short, intensive physical phase of five to ten days. Co-designed and co-delivered by our partner universities, BIPs enable teaching staff to experiment with new pedagogical approaches, strengthen international cooperation, and offer students a truly European learning experience.
Approved programmes receive organisational support funding as well as mobility grants for participating students and teaching staff during the in-person phase. Funding levels depend on the number of participants and the institutional regulations of the partner universities involved.
Timeline for Application phases 2026/27
Academic staff across the ENHANCE Alliance are encouraged to consider developing a Blended Intensive Programme. Those with an idea, or interested in exploring potential partnerships, should reach out to their local ENHANCE contact person for guidance and support. Proposals should be submitted as a PDF to the relevant institutional contact.
With opening the joint BIP call for a second time, after its premiere in January 2026, the Alliance continues to refine how it coordinates joint education initiatives, making it easier for staff to plan ahead and for students to build BIPs into their academic year with confidence.
Please submit your application via the form (link below) until September 16, 2026.
