ENHANCE Alliance has contributed with its knowledge to the Future of Fashion event, which took place on the 5 and 6 of October within the València World Design Capital 2022 framework.
This event aims, among other objectives, to raise awareness of sustainable fashion issues throughout the product life cycle, inspire transformative initiatives to achieve sustainable economic and educational goals, and make sustainability a reality for employment criteria in the fashion industry.
Nuria Llobregat, Director of Internationalisation and Core Officer of ENHANCE Alliance, gave her keynote speech “European Universities: Boosting SMART Learning about European universities as a transformative element and driver of education towards employability in Industry 4.0.” She dialogued about sustainability in the fashion industry from an educative perspective that blends Science, Technology, Engineering and Math, with Humanistic Skills, Ethical Discourse, and the Aesthetic reasoning (STEHEAM).
During the two days of presentations, workshops and activities, the Future of Fashion has provided a platform for creating, experimenting and exchanging ideas around six sustainable pillars: raw materials, design, supply chain, production, consumption and waste, and emissions and biodiversity. The future of fashion was the central motif for a meeting of minds, best practices and expertise on sustainability in the fashion industry.
The congress had the collaboration of the UPV, ENHANCE Alliance, Sustainable Fashion Employability Skills (SFES), financed with European funds, Las Naves, the innovation centre of the València City Council and La Mutant.
