ENHANCE Summer School

Innovation and Green Solutions – My Experience on Summer School

Share it

The ENHANCE Summer School in Warsaw, Poland, was a surprise for me. This was a great experience, where I could visit Poland for the first time and get to know its lovely people. I spent five fun days with other international students, and I had also learned a lot during intense  and challenging working days.

The main goal of this summer school was to develop green solutions for the campus of the Warsaw University of Technology to mitigate the impacts of climate change. During the workshops, the tutors guided us through design thinking and other methods. The student’s teams had to develop strategies and a final solution on the topics of food, water, transportation, air, and information and knowledge.

I was impressed that all the projects were very creative and could become real solutions for the campus and society. My team and I, for  example, developed a web page extension to combat and filter fake news  about climate change on the campus to students to create awareness of  what we read and share information nowadays.

Because my master\’s studies are in sustainable management, our team  solution was very exciting to me once it opened my mind to combining  sustainability, technology, and innovation in one idea against climate  change.

At the end of the summer school, it was possible to feel very positive energy between the students and the tutors, and afterward, it ended  something that was missing in my days. Finally, I am really glad that I had the opportunity to work with other students in my presence, mainly on topics that are interesting for my professional career.
