On 28 April, the ENHANCE partner Warsaw University of Technology organized a workshop for mentoring trainers at the Center for Innovation Management and Technology Transfer. Members of the ten universities of the ENHANCE Alliance were invited to participate.

One of the tasks of the ENHANCE work package: ‘Sustainable Entrepreneurship and Innovation,’ is to upskill mentors involved in the mentoring system for sustainable entrepreneurship developed and established by WUT (link to embed: https://mentoring.enhance.pw.edu.pl/) and the ENHANCE Alliance (link to embed: https://enhanceuniversity.eu/mentoring-programme/).

The goal of this system is to connect startups emerging from university ecosystems with mentors collaborating with all the ENHANCE members around five thematic areas: idea validation, customer development, business development, sustainable development, and internationalization.

The workshop was conducted by prof. Agnieszka Skala-Gosk, from Faculty of Management at WUT and Łukasz Sztern from the Center for Innovation Management and Technology Transfer at WUT as well as Ms. Marta Skrzydelska, a coaching and mentoring trainer and academic lecturer associated with the University of Warsaw.

The training has two main objectives. The first one was to discuss the experience to date with the Enhance Mentoring System and to prepare for the implementation of further extended mentoring and coaching tasks under the future financial perspective (the so-called ENHANCE+).

The second objective was to improve the competencies of the mentoring team through professional training and discussions on mentoring and coaching methodologies and tools.

Fourteen participants from six ENHANCE universities took part in the Training. During a break in the content-related activities, the participants visited the Main Building and Campus of the Warsaw University of Technology with a guide from the Museum of the Warsaw University of Technology, which allowed them to learn more about the university hosting them.

The ENHANCE Alliance thanks its partner WUT for organising and hosting this training and hopes that the mentoring will continue and help more stat-ups develop themselves.
